LiVES è un ottimo software per video editing ed è anche un VJ tool.
Per ottenerlo sulla propria Ubuntu basta andare su questo link e scariccare il pacchetto: http://www.getdeb.net/app.php?name=lives
Una volta scaricato basta cliccarci sopra e si apre GDebi che provvede ad installarti il software.
